From Decision Advantage to Trusted Action: Building the Foundation for Agentic AI at Mission Scale Webinar

Agencies have gotten good at using AI to inform decisions. The harder question is when an agent should be trusted to act on one. 
 
Federal agencies are entering a new phase of AI adoption. As AI moves from generating insights to orchestrating workflows and taking action, the question shifts from whether AI can be trusted to what specific actions it can be trusted to take, under what conditions, and with what human oversight. 
 

That shift raises the stakes. Agentic systems need trusted access to the right data and context, explicit boundaries on what they may do, and the security, oversight, and evaluation mechanisms to operate responsibly in complex mission environments. Capable models are not sufficient. 
 

During this session, Leidos leaders Rob Linger and Noble Ackerson will draw on recent conversations with federal agency leaders to examine what it takes to move from decision advantage to trusted action: how trusted data and context underpin responsible agentic action, how human oversight changes as autonomy increases, and where the hard limits belong. 
 

The discussion will address three critical questions: 

  1. What can we trust AI to do, and under what conditions?
  2. How do trusted data and context enable responsible agentic action?
  3. Where should an agent never act on its own, and how is that boundary enforced?

    Noble Ackerson is a Leidos Distinguished Engineer and Senior Director of AI and Agentic Solutions at Leidos, driving agentic AI strategy across the Modernization Sector's Information Advantage practice. He leads the development of Headway Dispatch, Leidos' vendor-agnostic runtime governance, discovery, and experience layers for autonomous AI agents in regulated, high-assurance environments. A practitioner with nearly two decades of combined machine learning and software engineering experience, Noble created and maintains rai-checklist-cli, an open-source tool for validating Responsible AI controls in production workflows. His recent research focuses on batch agent evaluation at scale: running LLM-as-a-judge governance pipelines across multi-turn trajectories on Cloud TPUs. Noble also contributes to NIST's Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI) and is a Google Developer Expert in AI and Cloud.
