Born and raised in Huntsville, AL, Jana Abbott’s deep connection to the defense industrial base (DIB) began early, with Redstone Arsenal’s munitions testing and aircraft training becoming a backdrop to her upbringing. After graduating from Huntsville High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Mississippi State University, and returning home to support the DIB felt like a natural next step in her career Jana began her career at a technology consulting firm, where she worked closely with DIB clients to implement and maintain NIST 800-171-compliant IT and cybersecurity infrastructures. In 2020, she joined Summit 7 as an Account Executive, focusing on helping DIB clients leverage Microsoft’s GCC High and Azure Government platforms to achieve CMMC certification. In January 2023, Jana was promoted to Director of Sales, Managed Services, where she continues to help clients maximize the value of their Microsoft investments through managed services and security solutions designed to achieve and maintain CMMC certification. In November 2023, she further cemented her expertise by earning the Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) accreditation. With nearly a decade of experience in the industry, a background in communication, and CCP certification, Jana is uniquely equipped to drive client engagement and success. She is committed to guiding her clients through each step of their CMMC assessment journey, strengthening their cybersecurity posture along the way.
As the Director of Product Management at Summit 7, Brad Shannon is responsible for developing and delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients while ensuring compliance with key regulations such as NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC. With over 20 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies like SharePoint, SQL, and .NET, Brad collaborates closely with every department at Summit 7 to bring valuable products to market. Throughout his career, Brad has demonstrated a deep understanding of IT strategy, managing IT infrastructures, and solving complex technology challenges. His experience spans running his own IT consulting business for over a decade, and serving as IT Director for a DIB prime contractor under foreign ownership, which was involved in building the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense system in Poland. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and multiple IT certifications from CompTIA, ITIL, and others. Brad's unique blend of leadership and hands-on technical knowledge positions him as a key driver of Summit 7’s managed services offerings, ensuring their success across various industries including healthcare, financial services, and government.
